The last 2 days have been busy with this painting. It's a mini(penny-sized) skateboard which I'm painting to enter into the Boarded Up 5 skateboard show which will be hanging at City Arts Orlando. This is the first 6 layers I've put into this painting. In this case, I'm doing a series of acrylic glazes, to build up the color and richness of the piece. Today, I finally started working on a painting for the Boarded Up 5 show. This show is one of my favorites. Everything and anything to do with skateboarding gets displayed. I am working on a tiny board this time. I was concerned for my time constraints. So I figured, one small completed board is better than a large unfinished board.
